                Alien Isolation Corridor

Game Asset Creation Module:

 

For this I was assigned to create a atmospheric and immersive corridor from Alien Isolation. Not only was I being marked on my Artistic skills but also being able to tell a story through my short section of a level.

I originally wanted to create a room with a ventilation shaft however this was out of scope due to my lack of knowledge within Maya meaning I had to spend more time researching than I initially thought.

This module was for myself to create a portfolio piece that would help me get my desired job in industry.

I chose crafting system to create as well as ingredients that can be turned into consumable items for the player.

This helps my desired career path as I would either like to become a Technical Level designer or a Level designer.

My self and 4 other designers were tasked at creating a top down view prototype within 3 months. In doing so we all decided to create a Horror Vertical Slice.

We decided to go for a game based on a child's mind. Incorporating how media would affect the child's mind.

My name is Kyle Kerr
I am an undergrad at Teesside University.

Video Games have always been apart of my life and through them I have learnt so many valuable lessons as well as experiences either through the game themselves or the community surrounding them. From the story of Halo: Reach to the gameplay mechanics of The Saboteur in addition to the more unique mechanics of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
 
As a games designer I aim to bring new and engaging experiences to my work while creating the same enjoyment and passion for games I had when I was younger. Besides digital games I also appreciate, board game, documentaries, movies and reading into new things.
